Abstract

The apparatus is used to measure arterial pressure using a capillary measuring tube containing mercury which is connected to a mercury supply reservoir by means of a tube. The pressure measuring sleeve is connected above the mercury level. The body of the apparatus carries a scale. In at least one region of the extreme lower end of this body, there are two lateral walls, and a rear wall which form together with the front wall a hollow closed section. An upper closure wall is connected to these walls and thus forms a hollow volume.
