Abstract

A hub for a bicycle, particularly a racing bicycle has a body (12) with a small diameter centre and enlargements (13) outside projections (14) with holes (15) to take wheel spokes. Inside the body is a shaft (16) with soulders (17) and a seatings (18). On each seating is a ball bearing (19) of normal type which presses against the shoulder (17) in a housing (20) and is retained in position by a circlip (22) in a body groove (23). The end of each seating (18) is adjacent a fork positioning bush (26) on the end (25) of the shaft. The construction is strong and gives the required lightness for such bicycles.
