Abstract
Blow moulded bodies are produced from laminates contg. thermoplastic and/or rubber materials by (a) extruding a plurality of material layers, (b) guiding the layers towards a laminating position in the blowing head to give a preform, and (c) blow moulding the preform to the final shape. Laminated mouldings can be produced rapidly and economically. Each layer in the laminate has a uniform thickness, and the thickness/colour of the layers can be varied. Mouldings can be produced both from plastic materials, eg. polyolefins/nylons, and from combinations of plastic materials and vulcanisable or thermoplastic elastomers.
