Abstract

Washing compsn. for cleasing the nasal fossae comprises sea water diluted to one third the concn. It is sterilised and stored under an inert gas, pref. as an aerosol. It is isotonic with the mucus in the nasal fossae. In an example, 1000 ml. sea water were added to 2,000 ml de-ionised water, filtered and stored under N2 in aerosol cans contg. 110 ml of soln.
