Abstract
In equipment for an internal combustion engine provided with an ozone generator for the redn. of the polluting prods. present in the exhaust gases (a) the ozone generator comprises at least one earthed conductive electrode plate, installed parallel to and at a short distance from a second plate forming a high tension electrode, fabricated from a dielectric material (b) the plates are installed in the air inlet passage to the engine and the high tension electrode is connected to an electrical supply consisting of a pulsed high tension transformer and (c) the generator formed by the plates and its electrical supply are so dimensioned as to produce 0.5-2 g ozone/m3 air entering the engine and per minute.
