Abstract

Floor boards for inflatable boats comprising compatible thermoformed profiles with stepped ends which may be fitted together. The profiles are hollow with one or more internal passages, pref. filled with a rigid, non permeable polyurethane foam and enlarged along the edges to provide additional stiffness. The profile may incorporate a keel-board. The profiles engage by ends stepped along two levels. The moulded components can readily be prefabricated and can incorporate an integral tailboard for supporting a motor unit. The profiles can provide intrinsic buoyancy. Units are waterproof, and may be coloured.
