Abstract

A cigar or cigarette lighter for a vehicle has a body fitted on a support or on the fascia of the vehicle by lugs. The body has an opening from which extend two feet to support an insulation support (53) of heat resisting material. A U-shaped heating element (49) is fixed by two feet on the support (53). The body has two lower extensions (45-9) which form male contact pins for the heating element. The heating element receives a resistance disc (73) secured to a sleeve (72) attached to a button (43) which extends into an ash shield (69).
