Abstract

A pair of mudguards for the front wheels of a car, is made as a right hand and a left hand member, each with a top sheet with two U shaped clips which are clamped by bolts onto ribs on the underside of the chassis, with a skirt hanging down, having a curved shape so that it protects the outside and rear zones of the wheel behind which it is fitted. Each skirt consists of a double layer of flexible rubber with a series of vertical slits along them, staggered to ensure good protection. The outer edge of the skirt does not extend beyond the side of the vehicle. The material withstands all atmospheric conditions.
