Abstract

The speech recognition device, for detecting the phonetics in continuous speech, has means for converting the analogue speech signal into digital signals with a given repetition period. A number of digital filters are associated with the different phonetics, with their inputs connected in parallel to the analogue/digital conversino means. The filters comprise multiplicators for multiplying a first number of preceding digital signals by respective coefficients an adder for the multiplied digital signals and means for determining the mean quadratic value of a second number of digital signals. Each phonetic is associated with means for determining the mean quadratice value of the output of the respective filter, with dividers providing the quotients of the two sets of mean quadratic values.
