Abstract

A bank card user identification system, uses a complex emulsion film on which data is recorded, and a rigid independent support. The support consists of a 54 x 85 mm plastics card (1) in which there is a slot (4, 5). The depth of the slot is equal to the thickness of the emulsion film. One part of the card (2) is entirely transparent and another part (6) has printed information on it. Before the photographic emulsion (11) is applied to its support (12) the identification symbols of the card are printed on the back of a photographic film (14). At the back of this film (14) is a light reflecting surface (15), this surface being sandwiched between the photographic film (14) and a magnetic film (16).
