Abstract

A prop or spacer for use in the installation of metal door-frames, which is adjustable, simple to use and can be recovered after each operation, consists of a bar, the length of which can be adjusted because it is made in two sections, one fitting inside the other both sections having holes drilled in them. Once the correct length is obtained, the holes are lined up and a pin inserted to lock the two sections together. One end of the prop is placed against one of the uprights (1, 2) of the door-frame and this end is equipped with a fixed magnet (16, 17) which has a smooth end face. This face is magnetically attracted to a corresponding face on the upright and held in position.
