Abstract

Measurement head for a pneumatic roughness meter has an end-piece (1) in the form of an airtight enclosure supplied by gas under pressure and intended for application by the edge of its open extremity to the rough surface(11) to be investigated. The end-piece(1) is mounted elastically in an articulated manner inside a measurement head which has a system for making contact with the surface (11). The open extremity of the end-piece has a deformable washer(35) bonded to the lower end of a stack of three elastomer O-rings(37). The O-rings and washer form a seal, with the washer being applied to the surface(11).
