Abstract

The chock gives a rapid immobilisation of vehicles being carried on a transporter. It can have a lever type handle from a common hinge point. The shoe can also have a support in the form of a leaf spring which presses against the tyre in place of the lever type handle. There is a certain amount of angular variation provided in the arrangement and the head of the leaf spring can be spiral to give more flexible return. Various sized wheels (R1, R2, R3) can be handles and the leg (1) is of variable length whereas the length of the lever handle (2) is fixed and the contact piece (3) is hinged.
