Abstract
The joint comprises a rod (2) engaging in the transverse direction in the condyles of the humerus, and a diaphysal splint (1) which can be distorted so as to fit exactly against the humerus. The angle between rod and splint can be at least 90 deg. The splint can have a base portion offset towards the outside in relation to the top portion, the latter having drillings for the fixing screws securing it to the diaphysis of the humerus. The base portion can have a recess in each of its faces running parallel to the rod. Splint distortion can be effected by a lever with two jaws at one end, engaging in the recesses in the base portion.
