Abstract
A diffusion-transfer colour photographic prod. comprises (a) a support coated with an Ag halide emulsion associated with a colour image forming material, (b) a colour image receptor layer, (c) means for introducing an alkaline treatment compsn. into the prod. and (d) a neutralisation layer for neutralising the treatment compsn. after a pre-determined period. The prod. also contains an Ag halide developer and is characterised in that (d) comprises a copolymer of a lower alkyl acrylate and 50-95 pref. 60-75, wt.% acrylic acid. The copolymer does not have to be crosslinked to be insolubilised since it has inherent insolubility in water while bein permeable to basic solns. It can be applied as a soln. in org. solvents, simultaneously with the retarding layer to which it adheres well. It does not tend to creep or curd.
