Abstract

The stop prevents the cable sheath sliding on the frame when the cable itself is moved, and comprises a body in the form of an inverted trough (10), having an opening (13) through a wall at one end (12) through which the cable passes. Along the lengthwise edges of the trough are studs (15) securing it to the bicycle frame. The body can be of inverted U-section, and the opening in the end wall can be round, or in the form of a straight recess with its opening in the edge bearing against the frame. The stop can be secured to the frame by means of three studs along each edge.
