Abstract

The machine for forming a 180 deg. bend on the end of clamp bars has a bending wheel (24) with a groove to take the bar and a cut-out part (42, 43, 44) to accommodate the cross-piece (28) on the end of the bar. The bar is locked into the machine by a toothed eccentric wheel (46, 47) and a locking handle (51). The bending forces are applied by grooved rollers (37, 38) on an adjustable mounting (39). The machine is driven by an electric motor through a reduction gearbox. Electrical switches (53) are operated by lobes (61) on the rotating assembly to stop the machine after 180 deg. rotation and also at the end of the return movement.
