Abstract

The seed-drill is used to sow seeds simultaneously into several rows in the field and it is fitted with a feeler which is able to count the number of seeds sown. An indicator is positioned on the seed-counter, and an initial signal may be given when the seed drill has covered a prescribed distance. In conjunction with the initial signal, the indicator gives a figure which indicates the density of seeds per unit area. A second counter is used, and the initial impulses of the distance covered by the drill may be fed to it.
