Abstract

The mirror body is adjustably mounted on a tubular bracket with a central vertical portion and two transverse arms pivoting on the coachwork. In the reflector plate (6) and mirror connection zone is a seam (8) of sealing material supplementing the effect of the external peripheral seal (7). Two brackets (9) are fixed to the body (1) to allow it to pivot on the tubular bracket, and each of these has on its base a small deformable foot (10) fitting in a hole in the body and flanged over from inside the latter. The upper end of the tubular bracket is flattened, and fits in a protective cap acting as a spacer in conjunction with the fork-shaped mounting accommodating this end. The cap is partly filled with sealing material. The brackets have sealing caps for the mounting bolts and nuts.
