Abstract

The display panel (5) is pref. used as a data display for a manual data input terminal, e.g. with the display panel positioned between two facing desks, each incorporating an input keyboard. The display panel (5) has a transparent plate (7) positioned in front of it, perpendicular to the desk surface (6) from which the display panel (5) projects. The front surface of the transparent plate (7) has a sawtooth, wave-form profile, with the short profile edges forming a relatively small angle with the normal to the plate (7) and the long profile edges forming a relatively large angle with the normal. The profile angles are chosen such that light from a sheet of paper (6) on the desk surface (6) is not reflected by the plate (7) towards the operator.
