Abstract

The controller comprises transistors (76) which are connected to supply wires (7, 9) for short-circuiting the output of the rectifier system (3) means (43, 45) (47, 51, 65) are provided in a voltage regulator (4) connected to the transistors (76) which detect the voltage between supply wires (7, 9) and deliver a control signal to the transistors (76) when the output voltage exceeds a specified value, in order to make them conducting to achieve short-circuiting of the rectifier output. The apparatus includes a rectifier network (3) with six diodes (11, 13, 15, 23, 25, 27) and three capacitors (29, 31, 33).
