Abstract

The machine is particularly for handling hollow bodies such as spray nozzles when washing, drying or heat-treating etc., and has a rotary drum with compartments round the periphery having sidewalls extending radially and accommodating the items. The compartments are in a number of sections one behind the other in the axial direction, and each section has a sieve plate (16) to secure the items in the compartments in the radial direction (22). One or more sieves prevent item movement in the axial direction, and has a recess for one or more compartments. Means are provided for ejecting the items from one compartment axially into the next one.
