Abstract

Parasitic currents in a car body are collected by a loop (16) attached to a car window (11) connected to the car body (29). Connection to the radio is by a twisted pair of wires (21). Low impedance minimises pickup from ignition permitting unscreened connection, particularly if the rear window is used. Alternative configurations have a single wire to reduce obscuration in windscreen of a rear-engined car, and the use of a rear window heater as the collection loop, with choke/capacitor coupling to reduce impedance. Loop wire can be deposited on window or on a plastic sheet attached to the window or embedded in glass, and may be on same window as heater.
