Abstract

The device (1) comprises a rigid pipe (5), having one end connected to the interior of the tanker and the other end bent downwards at right angles to provide a seating for a rotatable joint (6). A plate (7) is fixed underneath this pipe to provide bearings for a set of conical rollers (3) spaced radially around it. The outer roller ends are supported in a surrounding flat plate (7). One end of the hose (4) is connected to the rotatable joint and stowage is by hand or driving the rollers. The hose is wound in a flat coil, without any flats or kinks to impede flow.
