Abstract

The sole (1) is moulded with transverse reinforcement (6) and has pillars (9, 11) on its upper surface into which the protuberances on the inner sole fit. The assembly is held together by bonding the protuberances in the pillars and at least some of the holes in the upper are reinforced by eyelets (16).
