Abstract

The fluid sealing agent is heated before injection in the cable core, directly followed by a cold viscous sealing agent which encloses the heated fluid sealing agent. For feeding the cold viscous sealing agent, for example vaseline, an injection head is provided. The injection head is designed as an extruder with a connecting tube and a calibrating element which is used for rounding the coated cable core. The calibrating element can be adapted to various diameters of cable cores. The tube serves as a thickening of one and is surrounded by another tube for further cooling. A pump and storage tank are provided.
