Abstract

The arrangement is of the tye whereby the peripheral edge of the chain assembly (1) on the inside of the wheel is secured by a circular tensioning cable or chain whilst the peripheral edge on the outside of the wheel is secured by radial tensioning elements. These elements (5) extend from a central member (2) at the centre of the wheel and the individual elements are spaced at an angle of less than 45 deg. relative to one another. The free end of each element may be directly connectable to a corresponding edge element (2) of the chain assembly.
