Abstract

The door lock is actuated by a key which turns the disc arm and is designed to permit fixation to allow left or right hand mounting without adaptation. Twin bolts (8, 9) are disposed in opposition w.r.t. the medial axis (M), centrally enlarging to bear on the parallel housing wall (1), and receiving the sliding (12, 13) rods at their free ends (8', 8"). Free-bolt ends are hook-form and the bolts (8,9) cross each other via an elbow formation (17). The bolts which slide parallel to the medial axis are arranged to act as push or tie rods, i.e. in compression or traction.
