Abstract

Reel for fire hoses etc. mounted on a central shaft (1) through which the liquid flows (2). The flow control valve (10, 11, 12) is mounted on the end of the hollow shaft. The reel comprises two discs (14, 15) and a central cylinder (17). Each disc is mounted on the shaft using a bearing. The valve is placed within the central cylinder, access being through an opening in the front disc, the valve being enclosed without protruding. The opening is closed by a pane of glass which is to be broken before use. A key is also provided for access.
