Abstract

The arrangement is intended for the heater section of a feed water pre-heater. A steam distribution duct (8) is provided centrally between a cold tube nest (9) and a hot tube nest (10) of the tube arrangement. This duct has two longitudinal steam outlet openings (11) on opposite sides, the arrangement being such that the emerging steam flows radially inwards through the condensation plane of the tube nests. The steam outlet openings may extend from the heater section over the entire length of the tube nests. Near the outlet openings the tube nests may be provided with perforated cover plates (12).
