Abstract

The seat is attached to a flat plate (2) having a collar (4) welded on its underside. An annular groove (5), of semi-circular profile, is provided in the collar, this being in alignment with a round hole (6) drilled through the diameter of the solid support column (3). A tapped hole (7) drilled axially from the upper end communicates with the diametral hole. Ball bearings (8) are fitted inside the diametral hole and are held in the groove by another ball (9) in the axial hole. Pressure is applied by a grub screw (10) on top, which can be adjusted through a hole (21) in the flat plate.
