Abstract

The harvester cutters are connected by means of spring tension and two tension springs to the control lever. Between the two tension springs is a switch with a neutral setting or - affected by one of the two tension-springs - a top or bottom setting, whereby the switch operates the switch for the dropping valve or that for the lifting valve. Independently of the cutting height set by the lever, an extra lever can alter the position of the switch. If this extra lever returns to a neutral position, the pre-selected cutting height returns as a result of the sprung equilibrium between the two tension springs. The extra lever has end-stop pieces.
