Abstract

An armoured wheeled vehicle with universally jointed body has the universal joint axis coinciding with axes of the two interlinked body sections and each body section both combat car section or drive vehicle section has wheels which can be independently adjusted in height from a normal position. The central section is used as a crew carrier and main control section for the vehicle and the gun armament. The same drive system and linkage systems are used whether the combat section or drive section are under power. The universal joint is formed by the interlinkage of the two cylindrical body sections of the half vehicles.
