Abstract

Overlapping plank (1) lining for walls or roofs, is esp. designed to utilize thin sheets and uses recessed joints (2) and features a relatively simple joint between longitudinal plank edges. There are interfitting opposed 'C' (3, 4) and 'Z' (5, 6) sectioned edges, the abutting outer bars (3, 5) of which are finally wedged in place in a wall or floor fixed batten (8) of channel or asymmetric 'U' section. The overall depth of the 'Z' sectioned edge is equal to that of the 'C' sectioned edge plus the panel or plank thickness (d), and the panels are pref. of ply-wood or plastic faced laminate with rectangular milling in lieu of mitres.
