Abstract

A saddle bag mounted over the rear wheel of a light motor cycle or moped, is designed so that it can be rolled up tightly when empty, and possibly, if the saddle is mounted on hinges, stowed under the saddle. The bag is partly supported by a metal bar (4) parallel to the tube (2) forming part of the cycle frame and secured by two straps (6) which are looped around the tube, each assisted by a buckle (8). Each strap is secured to the metal bar by a rivet (11). At the end of each strap is a buckle (7), and the other end is plain, with a set of adjustment holes. When the bag is open for loading, these ends engage corresponding fittings on the bag. When the bag is rolled up, these together round the bag.
