Abstract

A generator producing 'N' separate trains or bursts of sinusoidal signals of differing frequencies, designed to simplify the circuitry to produce such signals, used in vehicle telephone identification, produces signals to conform with the requirements of the 'International Radiocommunications Consultative Committee'. The duration of such a burst is 100mSec, burst spacing is 5mSec and frequencies are in the 2KHz region. The generator is initiated from a single input to an access unit providing five outputs to a programming unit and frequency synthesiser. Train switching is accomplished electronically the output being delivered by a programmed attenuator controlled from the access unit.
