Abstract
Electrical conductors and light guides buried in a common flat ribbon, providing complete protection for the conductors. Fibre - optics and electrical conductors may be distributed throughout the width of the strip, which may be entirely flat or corrugated in the length dimension. The strip is preferably of some material which is a good conductor of heat and is either transparent or translucent to allow conductor breaks to be located. The electrical conductors (2) may be of any cross section and the light guides (3) grouped together. The strip may be in the form of a sandwich (6, 7) of polyfluorethyline propylene and polyamide.
