Abstract

The device comprises two measurement elements (2, 3), each element being attached to a part of the wall on one side of the crack (5). The two elements (2, 3) have means of moving the relative displacement of one w.r.t. the other. One of the elements (2) is a rule which runs inside a support (3) which constitutes the other element. The rule and its support are graduated in units of length as a function of the required accuracy. The support (3) has a vernier on it and also a writing pad (8) on which measurement from the rule (2) are recorded as a function of date.
