Abstract
A flow reverser for a pneumatic tube conveying system has a triangular body with a single top aperture (10) and two separate bottom apertures (8, 9). The top is connected into the system (2), the bottom being linked together by a loop (3, 4), having the air blower (22) approximately central. A plug (5) to direct the flow of air, has an outer toroidal shape fitting in the single top aperture and between the two bottom. In one position, air flow is directed (11) into the top aperture producing a pressure (24) in the system. When rotated into a second position by a motor (16), the air is directed to exhaust, producing a vacuum in the system.
