Abstract

Exhibition stands may be easily erected, dismantled and transported by making use of this method of construction. A vertical central tube (3) supports a number of longitudinal flanges (4), to the exterior edge of each of which, is attached a collapsible wall. When the walls are extended therefore, the stand is divided into a number of separate sections between which communicating doors may be provided. Each wall (2) consists of anumber of vertical, part cylindrical strips (5, 6, 7) hinged along alternate edges, as in an accordion pleat and supported by radial arms from the central tube. When collapsed, the walls form a larger diameter cylinder around the central support. Electrical supply cables for lighting may be contained within the central tube, as may be support brackets for the lights themselves.
