Abstract

The sealing device is for application to the passage holes for screws, nails and other fixing media in building components, exp. in roof and wall claddings on buildings, and comprises a fixed part and a sealing section of elastic material in contact with this. There is a holder component on the fixed pprt, by means of which the expansion of the sealing sections at right angles to the direction in which pressure is experienced, can be limited. The sealing section can adhere to the building component on the side facing away from the fixed part. The holder component is pref. in the form of a flange projecting from the fixed, part, extending over the periphery of the sealing section, forming a cup which partially holds the sealing. The system does not allow sealing to fail in the event of relative movement of the building component.
