Abstract

The track section has, at each end, a projection (54) with an inwards extending hook (56) and a recess (66) with an inner opening which may receive a hook so that adjacent track sections may be coupled by fitting the adjacent projections and recesses together. The hooks have inclined rear faces so that the sections may be joined by applying lateral forces to the sections, the inclined faces acting as cams which ensure correct positioning of the sections. The end of each track section has a projection and a recess which fit together with corresponding recesses and projections on adjacent sections to form locks when the sections are correctly aligned. The track section has model guide grooves (40) and power supply strips (50) with end contacts (52', 52").
