Abstract

Soap of an initial colour is compressed to flow through an extrusion nozzle cone whilst a differently coloured liq. agent is injected directly into the flow of soap pref. just upstream of the cone, from a series of fixed orifices extending across the axial flow of soap an delivering downstream. The orifices may be outlets from hollow cross-bars in a hollow ring fitted coaxially at the entrance to the cone, and each cross-bar can be supplied with a different colour liq. Clearly defined stripes and variegated patterns can be formed in the cross-section of the soap.
