Abstract

Cpds. of formula (I): (where R = =4 C alkyl or phenyl opt. substd. by >=1 halo atoms or by CF3 R1 = H, 4C alkyl, 2,2-dimethyl-dioxolan-4-yl-methyl or 2,3-dihydroxy-prop-1-yl, R2 = -OCH2CH2-NR3R4, -CONR3R4 or -COOCH2-CH2-NR3R4 -NR3R4 = morpholino, piperidino or hexamethyleneimino and n = 4-7) are prepd. by e.g. reacting the corresp. 4-chloro-pyrimidine cpd. with a cpd. HZ. (I) have anti-ulcer, anti-bronchoconstrictor, anti-cholinergic, analgesic, anti-histaminic, diuretic, analeptic, cardiovas cular, antiinflammatory and hypertensive activity and are used in the treatment of gastro-duodenal ulcers, visceral spasms, asthma, pain and inflammation of diverse origins allergies, oedema and hypotension. (I) is administered orally in unit doses of 50-500 mg (1-6 times daily), parenterally in unit doses of 10-250 mg (1-3 times daily) as suppositories containing 25-400 mg (I) (1-3 times daily) or as drops containing 0.5-5% (I) (20-60 drops 1-3 times per day).
