Abstract

The purpose of the invention is to filter from the sunlight those rays whose wave lengths are greater than those used by growing plants. The process is used in climates where the strength of solar radiation may damage plants, and yet where night temperatures drop to undesirable levels. A double transparent wall (2a & 2b) and roof in the green house (1) enclose a liquid (4) circulated by a pump (7) round the building and back into a tank (5), from where it is once more pumped around the building. The heat absorbed by the liquid during the day is used to heat the green-house during the night.
