Abstract

Procedure for anchoring strain gauges on to a structural surface by first coating the site for the gauge with a thin coating of resin deposited by electrophoresis, and then attaching the strain gauge after partially curing the resin coating. Esp. for anchoring gauges to be used for extensometry circuits. The gauge is anchored by a very thin layer of resin which causes little interference or distortion between the gauge and the structural surface which the gauge is monitoring.
