2-(4-Chlorophenoxy)-2-methylpropyl acetylsalicylate combines the antihyperlipaemic properties of 2-(4-chlorophenoxy)-2-methylpropanol with the inhibitory action against blood platelet aggregation possessed by aspiring, thereby improving its effect on atheromatous plaques. (I) is prepd. by reaction of the substd. propanol with acetylsalicyloyl chloride.
