Knitted cotton tee-shirt comprises a tubular body with a shirt-type collar and a neck opening at the front provided with a strip of suitable width reinforced along its longitudinal edges by means of long stitches. The neck is closed by three or more buttons, pref. press studs of the same colour as the collar. The body of the tee-shirt is cut and stitched on a cutting and stitching machine with two needles. The stitching along the edges of the strip is adapted to prevent possible tearing of the strip.
