Abstract

The lamp comprises a base accommodating a transparent or translucid shade, coloured if necessary. The shade forms a hollow body, open at the top, inside which a heating device, preferably an electric lamp, is housed. Perfume, insecticide etc. is deposited inside the shade, and caused to evaporate via the top of the latter. The bulb projects upwardly into a chamber in the base of the shade for efficient heating of the liquid in the shade. The shade rests on an annular shoulder on the base, and base and shade form a generally spherical shape when assembled, with a horizontal peripheral gap between the two.
