Abstract

A knob suitable for pull out, rotary or rocker switches is fitted with a built in annunciator lamp. The top of the knob is fitted with a transparent cap, which has side prong shaped strips that fit into the body. The inner surfaces of the strips is coated with a material to reflect the light of the bulb. The pronged walls of the knob cap are flexible and provide a push fit to hold it in position against the body of the knob. The increased lighting intensity will illuminate any function indication more clearly by the improved distribution. The side walls of the rectangular body slope inwards.
